Let’s practice the verbs Cambiar and Quedar, as well as our new pronouns and everything else we’ve learned this week, using a big quiz. Try to predict the Spanish, and make sure to practice out loud!

She changed her mind and she changed her style.

Cambió de idea y cambió su estilo.

(Formal) Stay to eat.

Quédese a comer.

Don’t stay there; every person that stays has to give them money.

No te quedes ahí, toda persona que se queda tiene que darles dinero.

You can have this paper for your letter, you can make it with it.

Puedes tener este papel para tu carta, puedes hacerla con él.

They never change, but I change all the time.

Ellos nunca cambian, pero yo cambio todo el tiempo.

There wasn’t anything left there, so the army left.

No quedaba nada ahí, así que el ejército se fue.

She will change her car if she stays here.

Cambiará su auto si se queda aquí.

Don’t change those! But you can change the rest.

¡No cambies esos! Pero puedes cambiar los demás.

Stay! The government said we need to have company.

¡Quédate! El gobierno dijo que necesitamos tener compañía.

If you stay here and change that, we can talk.

I changed, but she doesn’t change.

I thought there had been meat left after the party.

You will stay because of it.

She isn’t in on it anymore; she has changed a lot.

Ella ya no está en ello, ha cambiado mucho.

She wants you to stay and I’m also going to stay.

We didn’t change the camera.

No cambiamos la cámara.

Both have to be careful with the sword.

We’re changing it and that’s why I’m staying.

We aren’t going to stay, but the rest of the people are.

I was staying there and that’s why I had to change it.

(Plural) Stay! Anyone can stay and have more gifts.

¡Quédense! Cualquiera puede quedarse y tener más regalos.

That day there was one letter left and you changed it.

Ese día quedó una carta y tú la cambiaste.

We’re changing our house so you can stay here.

Estamos cambiando nuestra casa para que puedas quedarte aquí.

We want her to change her card.

Queremos que cambie su tarjeta.

Maybe there will be one thing left.

Quizás quede una cosa.

If we don’t stay we can go eat; both are good ideas.

Si no nos quedamos podemos ir a comer, ambas son buenas ideas.

She’ll stay here when you change everything.

Se quedará aquí cuando cambies todo.

They didn’t exchange the money, so we stayed without dollars.

Ellos no cambiaron el dinero, entonces nos quedamos sin dólares.

Change that! There were too many things left.

When I change my clothes, I’ll stay in the hotel.
