Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 25, 2026

The short version

  • We collect what you give us, like your name, your email, and your answers in our free tools. We also collect some information automatically when you visit our site, like which pages you looked at.
  • Most of it is there so we can teach you better: matching lessons to what you need, giving you feedback, and keeping track of your progress. We also use some of it to find out which of our ads work.
  • We use advertising and analytics tools from Meta, Google and Microsoft. They use cookies, and they get information about your visit.
  • We don't sell your information.
  • You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time, opt out of ad tracking, and ask us to delete your information. Just email info@learncraftspanish.com.

The rest of this page explains each of those in more detail.

Who we are

We're LearnCraft Spanish LLC, a small company in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We teach Spanish to adults through online courses, coaching, free lessons, a podcast and a YouTube channel.

This policy covers learncraftspanish.com, our flashcard app at app.learncraftspanish.com, our free online tools, and our emails.

You can reach us at info@learncraftspanish.com.

What we collect

Information you give us:

  • Your name and email address when you sign up for free lessons, our emails or a course. We use them to send you what you signed up for.
  • The answers you type into our free tools and quizzes, and the results they show you. This information helps us give you a learning experience tailored to your Spanish needs, like the lesson that fixes the gap your answers showed.
  • Purchase details, like what you bought, your billing name and address. Your card details go straight to our payment processors, such as Thrivecart and Stripe. We never see your full card number.
  • Your login for our flashcard app, which uses a sign-in service called Auth0, and the progress you make there. Your progress tells the app which cards to show you and when.
  • If you apply for coaching or book a call: your application answers, your booking details, and the notes we take during the call. We use them to plan your lessons and write your personalized study plan.
  • If you're a student: the homework, recordings and messages you send us, and what you post in our student community on Slack. This is how your coaches give you feedback on your own Spanish.
  • Testimonials and video reviews, which we only use with your permission.

Information we collect automatically:

  • Your IP address, device and browser type, the pages you visit, and how long you stay.
  • How you found us. For example, if you clicked one of our ads, we see which ad it was.
  • Cookies. A cookie is a small file your browser keeps so a website can recognize it next time. Our free Spanish tool uses one so it can remember you between visits. The advertising and analytics tools below use their own.

How we use it

Most of what we collect is there so we can teach you well. A course or a coach can only meet you where you are if they know where that is.

  • To give you what you signed up for: lessons, course access, coaching, flashcards and feedback.
  • To send you emails about Spanish and about our courses. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
  • To answer your questions and handle refunds and cancellations.
  • To see which lessons and pages help people most, so we can improve them.
  • To measure our ads, so we spend our budget reaching people who are likely to want our courses, and not on people who already have them.
  • To keep our sites secure and to follow the law, for example by keeping tax records.

We use AI tools to help us write feedback on homework and personalized study plans. When we do, the relevant text, like your homework or our notes from your consultation call, is processed by our AI providers, Anthropic and OpenAI.

Advertising, analytics and cookies

We don't show ads from other companies on our site. We do advertise our own courses on Facebook and Instagram, and we use these tools to measure those ads and our site.

Meta Pixel. Meta's pixel runs on our website and our checkout pages. It tells Meta about your visit and actions like starting a checkout or buying a course. Meta and other third parties may use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies to collect or receive information from our site and elsewhere on the internet. They use it to measure ads and to decide which ads to show. Meta uses this information under its own privacy policy at facebook.com/privacy/policy.

Customer lists. We sometimes give Meta a list of email addresses from our email list or our customers. Meta turns each address into a coded form called a hash before matching it, and deletes the list once matching is done. We use these lists to show ads to people who already know us, and more often to make sure people who have already bought a course don't see ads for it.

Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see how people use our site. You can read how Google uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can block it with Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Microsoft Clarity. We use Microsoft Clarity to see how people use our pages, through clicks, scrolling, heatmaps and session replays. It uses cookies and similar technologies. Microsoft uses this information for site improvement, security and advertising, as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement at privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.

Our Meta developer app. We have a Meta developer app, LearnCraft Funnel Lab, that we use only to manage our own Facebook and Instagram ads and read their results. It doesn't let anyone log in with Facebook, and it doesn't receive your Facebook profile. What it gets from Meta is reporting on our ads, mostly totals like how many people saw or clicked each ad.

Your choices about ads and cookies:

  • Change which ads Meta shows you at facebook.com/adpreferences.
  • Opt out of interest-based ads from many companies at optout.aboutads.info, or at youronlinechoices.eu if you're in Europe or the UK.
  • Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Our site still works without them, though the free tool may forget your earlier answers.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the companies that help us run LearnCraft Spanish, and only what each one needs for its job:

  • Website and apps: Webflow, Netlify, Cloudflare, DigitalOcean and Auth0.
  • Email: Kit.
  • Payments: Thrivecart, Stripe and the payment methods they offer.
  • Applications, bookings, calls and community: Typeform, Calendly, our video call service and Slack.
  • Testimonials: Senja.
  • AI: Anthropic and OpenAI.
  • Advertising and analytics: Meta, Google and Microsoft, as described above.

Our coaches see what they need to teach you, like your homework and progress.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or if LearnCraft Spanish is ever sold or merged, in which case this policy would still protect your information.

We don't sell your personal information. Some US state laws count giving information to ad platforms, like the Meta Pixel and customer lists, as "sharing" for advertising. You can opt out of that by emailing us, or by using the choices listed above.

Your rights

You can always:

  • Unsubscribe from our emails with the link at the bottom of any email.
  • Ask for a copy of the information we have about you.
  • Correct it if it's wrong.
  • Delete it (see below).

Depending on where you live, you may have more rights. If you're in the UK or the European Economic Area, you can also object to how we use your information, ask us to limit it, ask for it in a portable format, and complain to your data protection authority. In the UK, that's the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. Residents of California and some other US states have similar rights, including the right to opt out of targeted advertising. We won't treat you differently for using any of them.

To use any of these rights, email info@learncraftspanish.com. We'll reply within 30 days.

Why we're allowed to use your information (this matters under UK and EU law):

  • To provide something you asked for, like a course or a coaching call.
  • Because you agreed, as when you sign up for our emails or accept cookies.
  • For our legitimate interests, like improving our lessons, measuring our ads and keeping our sites secure.
  • To meet legal duties, like keeping tax records.

How to delete your information

Email info@learncraftspanish.com from the address you used with us, with the subject "Delete my data." We'll remove you from our email list, our free tools, our own records and the customer lists we give Meta, and we'll confirm by email within 30 days.

We'll keep a few things the law requires us to keep, like purchase records for tax purposes. We'll also keep your email address on a do-not-contact list so we don't accidentally email you again.

How long we keep it

  • Email list: until you unsubscribe.
  • Purchase records: as long as tax law requires.
  • Coaching notes, homework and recordings: while you're a student, and afterward only as long as we need them for the reasons in this policy.
  • Free tool answers and website activity: only as long as we need them to see how our lessons and ads perform.

How we protect it

Our sites use encrypted connections, and only the people who need your information can see it. Payment details never touch our servers. In our own ad measurement system, we store email addresses only in coded (hashed) form.

We're based in the US, and our providers mostly store data in the US. If you're outside the US, your information will be transferred to the US and handled as this policy describes.

Children

Our courses are for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you think a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll also tell you by email or with a notice on our site.
