§02 · WHO IT'S FOR

This Challenge is designed for you if:

  • You've been studying Spanish for years — apps, podcasts, maybe a class — and you still can't express yourself in real conversation
  • You know vocabulary, but when it's time to form a sentence, it doesn't come
  • The small words that native speakers use constantly — por, para, lo, le, ser, estar — still trip you up
  • You want a structured program with daily accountability, not something you can drift in and out of
  • You're ready to commit about 2 hours a day for 4 weeks

Not the right fit if:

  • You're looking for something casual and self-paced with no daily structure — the Challenge is intensive by design
  • You just want a handful of travel phrases — this builds something deeper than that
If someone really wants to communicate on a deeper level, I would tell them to take this challenge. If they want to play around and learn some words, this is not the challenge for them.

§03 · THE PROBLEM

The problem isn't your vocabulary.

You've probably spent years collecting Spanish words. Apps. Podcasts. Maybe a class or two. You can recognize words when you hear them. You know what they mean.

But when it's time to actually say something — to form a real sentence in real time — the words don't come. You freeze. Or you translate slowly in your head, and by the time it comes out, the conversation has moved on.

Here's what's actually missing: vocabulary is the bricks. Sentence structure is the mortar. Without the mortar, you can't build anything — even with hundreds of words sitting in your head.

The connecting words — the ones native speakers use constantly, the ones that hold sentences together — those are what most Spanish programs gloss over. Por, para, lo, la, le. Ser vs. Estar. The way word order shifts. Direct object pronouns. These are the 100 most-used words in Spanish — roughly half of everything native speakers say. These are the hardest parts of Spanish to learn but the most important.

The mortar has helped tremendously. I had a ton of bricks laying around unusable. I've been able to attend multiple information sessions at my local community center that were completely in Spanish and follow along with what was being discussed almost entirely.
B.J.P.
I tried other companies that promised to teach Spanish but I wanted more than a few touristy sentences and vocabulary. It was frustrating not being taught how all of those little words in between actually work.
D.T.
The jumbled mess of Spanish verbs and vocabulary in my mind have become organized and coherent.
Josh
§04 · THE CHALLENGE

The 1-Month Challenge
teaches you the mortar.

The Challenge is a 4-week intensive program. Five lessons a week, each about 45 minutes of video. Every lesson is built around the same question: what does your brain actually need to understand so that Spanish sentences start to flow?

The answer is almost always the same: those small essential words, plus the logic of how Spanish actually works. That logic is different from English — but with the right strategy, you can learn it.

Once that logic clicks, you stop translating word-by-word and start working with Spanish as a system that makes sense.

MAY 2026 · REBUILT CHALLENGE

We rebuilt the Challenge.

After collecting over 1,000 student surveys, we went back through every lesson. Four specific things changed:

01

More consistent daily pacing.

The #1 complaint across all past Challenges: unpredictable time commitment. One day 30 minutes of work, the next day 3 hours of work. Every lesson in the new version is carefully paced so your daily investment is consistent.

02

Full Spanish sentences by Week 2.

The new sequencing gets you speaking real sentences sooner — without piling on more vocabulary first.

03

Hundreds of audio flashcards starting in Week 2.

The most-requested improvement across every Challenge we've run: more speaking and listening practice. Starting in Week 2, you'll have audio drills for practicing your pronunciation and comprehension in real time.

04

All-new professional videos.

Cleaner production, updated memory palace visuals for verb conjugations and grammar patterns — the tools that have helped students retain the most complex material.

[I'm surprised] how much other apps and learning programs skip such important foundational information — and how much this program focuses on it.
B.A.
This course teaches you to think and speak in Spanish. It resets the foundation away from more traditional approaches that tend to focus on vocabulary. (You learn a lot of words in other courses but you don't really learn how to speak.)

§05 · WHAT YOU'LL WALK AWAY WITH

By the end of the Challenge, you'll have:

  • A solid foundation in Spanish sentence structure — the hardest part of the language, tackled first
  • The 100 most-used Spanish words committed to memory — the ones that make up about 50% of all spoken Spanish
  • The ability to express your own thoughts in Spanish — not just recognize phrases you've memorized
  • A working understanding of the concepts that trip up most learners for years: ser vs. estar, por vs. para, direct and indirect object pronouns
  • Daily speaking and listening practice — so what you know on paper starts to work in real time
  • The sentence structures to approach real conversations with the Spanish speakers in your life
I think faster when it comes to building my sentences. I don't second guess myself as much as I used to once I converted my English thought to Spanish.
Patricia

After 1 month, you won't be holding long conversations about complex topics. What you'll have is the foundation that makes those conversations possible — the part that years of apps and passive studying couldn't give you.

§06 · HOW IT WORKS

Here's what the Challenge
looks like day to day.

01 Monday — Friday

Daily lessons

Each day you get a video lesson — about 45 minutes of new material. Every lesson builds on the last, deliberately. We start with the top 10 words in Spanish and core grammar — you'll ONLY learn the elements of Spanish that matter most, in the order they actually need to be learned.

02 Every day

Flashcards & audio drills

Learning it in the video is the first step. Making it second nature requires practice. The Challenge comes with hundreds of flashcards and audio exercises designed to move what you've learned from "I recognize it" to "I can say it without thinking." Starting in Week 2, those include audio speaking and listening drills.

03 Throughout

Community & support

You're not doing this alone. A community of other students is working through the same material at the same time. A team of native-speaking language experts is available throughout the Challenge to answer questions and support your progress.

It is a daily challenge, which ensures you do the course every day. It has focused me more than just randomly listening to the LearnCraft Podcasts.
S.L.
It is making me come back every day which is making it stick.

§08 · FROM STUDENTS

What people say
about the Challenge:

I have taken Spanish in high school, have purchased MANY books, and subscribed to Duolingo and Pimsleur; however, I have learned more useful Spanish in these 9 days than I have with all of those combined.
M.J.
After 30 years of trying to make progress with Spanish, I finally feel like I'm gaining momentum!
C.T.
I finally understand sentence structure and placement, as well as the way my brain needs to think in Spanish versus English. My Spanish neural pathways have grown and connected in ways I only dreamed of.
S.C.
It has been so inspiring and my confidence has grown dramatically. I'd say I learnt 6 months of Spanish in a month.
R.D.
After ordering in Spanish at a restaurant, I had a brief conversation with the waitress. While I didn't know exactly what she was saying, she used big hand gestures to help me understand, and I was able to gather the general meaning and feel a fun, personal connection with her.

§09 · COMMON QUESTIONS

Three things people always ask.

I only have about 2 hours a day. Is that enough?

The new version of the Challenge was redesigned specifically around this. Inconsistent daily time commitment was the #1 complaint in our student surveys — some lessons were 30 minutes, others were 3 hours — so we restructured every lesson for consistent daily pacing. The target is about 2 hours a day, including the video lessons, flashcards, and audio drills.

This program takes real commitment. But if you can give it 2 hours a day for 4 weeks, the difference in your Spanish will be worth it.

Can you really learn Spanish in 1 month?

Here's an honest answer: you won't be holding long conversations about complex topics after 1 month. What you will have is the foundation that makes that possible — the sentence structures, the high-frequency mortar words, and the drilling practice that wires them into long-term memory.

Students consistently tell us it's the first time Spanish has actually clicked for them — sometimes after years of trying other methods. The goal isn't fluency in 1 month. The goal is building the foundation that every Spanish conversation you'll ever have will rely on — and doing it in a way that sticks.

And if you don't find it the most productive month you've ever spent on Spanish, you can get your money back.

The LearnCraft Spanish podcast covers most of this material for free. Why pay for the Challenge?

The podcast gives you the information. The Challenge gives you the daily structure, the drilling tools, the audio speaking practice, and the accountability to actually wire it into your brain.

The flashcard and audio drill system — including speaking and listening exercises — isn't available through the podcast. And the bootcamp format is what makes it actually stick (instead of something you keep learning and then forgetting).

Several students have said it directly: The podcast is where they understood how the method works. The Challenge is where they actually DID it.

Although your podcast offers all the information for free, it would be a shame to pass up taking the One-Month Challenge at the price it is offered. The challenge forces me to review Spanish daily, and to stick to a schedule.
S.H.
We are provided not only with videos and daily quizzes, but weekly vocab and visual learning tools, as well as the quiz platform. Honestly, of any course that I have taken on any subject, this has provided the best value.
