“When I started classes, I couldn’t say more than maybe 10 words in Spanish. After a year of a lot of study and practice, now I can speak with Spanish speakers all day. My clients, my colleagues, the interpreters at court, everyone.”
You're learning Spanish for someone. But the words you know aren't helping you connect with them as deeply as you want. Work one-on-one with a world-class coach, and build the skills of real human connection in Spanish.
“A year ago, people always asked me, ‘Where did you learn Spanish?’ Now the question I get most is, ‘¿De dónde eres?’”
All of these students struggled to use their Spanish. Now they connect on a deep and personal level with the Spanish speakers in their lives.
“When I started classes, I couldn’t say more than maybe 10 words in Spanish. After a year of a lot of study and practice, now I can speak with Spanish speakers all day. My clients, my colleagues, the interpreters at court, everyone.”
“I remember that after 1 month in this class, my girlfriend’s mom said to me, ‘Mike, what happened? You’re suddenly better.’”
“It’s like night and day. I can understand everything they say. I went to Puerto Rico with my family and was able to communicate with other people.”
You've worked hard on your Spanish. You know hundreds of words and you can conjugate plenty of verbs. You can probably have basic conversations on a few topics, but those conversations stay limited.
When it comes to making a real connection, you can't keep up. People talk faster than you can follow, and you lose the thread. Your thoughts come faster than you can put Spanish words together, and the Spanish you know just doesn't feel adequate to express how you feel. Eventually, they switch to English to be polite.
You're not alone. Most of our students were in that same place for months or years.
“Before LearnCraft Spanish, I could say certain words and verbs and phrases, but I couldn't have a conversation in Spanish. I couldn't say what I was thinking.”

“I felt confused in very basic conversations and very unsure of what I needed to say. I was very nervous around my girlfriend's parents.”

“I was in a bookshop and so I learned a lot of bookshop speak, but outside of that context, virtually nothing.”

Apps, classes, tutors and travel each help you pick up pieces of Spanish. But real, unscripted connection requires a deep mastery of how the language works.
Most Spanish resources reward you for tiny bits of progress on things that don't matter much. What they don't do is help you make foundational progress on the biggest parts of the language, the parts that do matter.
Apps reward you for opening your phone and matching words on a screen. That doesn't prepare you for a real conversation with no script.
“The apps are just games. They don't prepare you to speak in real conversations.”
Jeremy C.Translated from SpanishClasses usually have you memorizing conjugations, taking exams and learning vocab lists. It rarely transfers to real-life connection.
“We spent a lot of time memorizing words and conjugations I never understood how to use.”
Ashley H.Translated from SpanishSpanish tutors are better than nothing if you just want practice. But you might end up having the same easy conversation over and over, avoiding the deeper, serious work of linguistic coaching.
“There is a tremendous difference between working with someone who speaks both Spanish and English and so thinks, ‘oh, so I can teach Spanish,’ and being part of a program that has structure and direction and, most importantly, coaches who understand elements of language and how to teach Spanish.”
Brian M.CoachingTraveling to a Spanish-speaking country won't automatically make you fluent. Sure, you might pick up some useful words and phrases. But eventually you'll have to sit down and do the hard work of deep linguistic mastery.
“I learned enough to get by, but I found that I wasn't learning enough to function as a resident here.”
Daniela C., living abroadCoachingElite coaching gives you the 2 things the usual fixes are missing.
We start with the heart of the Spanish language: the most common words, and the core grammar that holds them together. Once you understand that core deeply, you can express your own thoughts instead of reciting memorized phrases. Every lesson builds on the last, and earlier material keeps coming back until it's second nature.
“The most important idea in the lessons is that I didn't need the word for ‘fountain pen,’ but I did need the word for ‘that.’”
Bill M., New MexicoCoachingTranslated from SpanishYour coach gets to know your Spanish in depth. Every week, they pinpoint the skills and pieces of the language that are keeping you from saying what you want to say, or from understanding what you hear. Then they focus your practice right there. You work with the same coach every week, so they see your progress as it happens.
“My coach is very keen on details. She's catching my errors, she's jotting them down. So I've got written proof of it.”
Tyler W.CoachingIt turns out that high-stress meetings with the instructors at LearnCraft Spanish result in low-stress meetings with native speakers.

Anyone who speaks Spanish can call themselves a tutor. Our coaches are university-trained language specialists and native speakers from across the Spanish-speaking world. They've spent years coaching English-speaking adults in the LearnCraft method, and you'll feel the difference in your first session.
Gaby studied English teaching, translation and literature at university, alongside Spanish grammar and linguistics. She went on to teach Spanish grammar to native speakers as a professor in the university's Spanish department, and she also studied law for 4 years.
Gaby trains and leads every coach on our team. As our most senior coach, she shapes her sessions around whatever each student needs most. Her first LearnCraft student, Kyle, knew 5 to 10 words of Spanish when they started. 9 months later, he was giving business presentations to native speakers.
Studied literature and Spanish grammar at university, and has coached LearnCraft students since 2018. One of her students now talks with the children she sponsors in Latin America without a translator.
Studied Spanish language and literature education at the University of Antioquia, with research in pedagogy and linguistics. He coached one of his students all the way through a job interview in Guatemala.
Studied Language and Business at university, speaks 4 languages, and has more than 10 years of experience teaching adults. Her longest-running student now holds almost every session entirely in Spanish.
For 12 years, our coaches have worked one-on-one with thousands of students, and every one of them has helped us refine how we teach. Our podcasts and YouTube channel grew out of that work. They share the methods behind our coaching program with anyone who wants to learn.
(LearnCraft Spanish was called Accelerated Spanish until 2023. It's the same team and the same method under a new name.)
The free content shows you our methods. The coaching program is where we put all of it to work for you: an elite coach, a personalized plan, and a full set of tools designed to help you make real progress every week.
“I liked that the [LearnCraft Spanish curriculum] was free, but after 2 or 3 months I knew I needed much more, and now I'm very happy to pay for [coaching].”
Troy V.CoachingTranslated from SpanishHere's what connecting on a deep, personal level looks like for our students:
Talk with your partner's family without rehearsing every sentence first
(Michael K.)Understand jokes in Spanish, and make your own
(Christine R.)Use Spanish all day at work, with clients, colleagues and patients
(Ashley H.)Have long, wide-ranging conversations when you travel
(Bill M.)Understand fast, everyday Spanish, and even movies
(Jeremy C.)Speak Spanish at home, so your kids hear it too
(Tyler W.)Answer the phone and run interviews in Spanish
(Kathryn M.)We start by evaluating your Spanish. We'll identify your strengths and weaknesses and map out your roadmap to fluency.
We match you with your personal coach, in a time zone that works for you. You'll work with the same coach every week.
You meet one-on-one with your coach and speak Spanish, with feedback in the moment. Between sessions, you work through your plan, get your homework corrected, and drill with our quizzing app. Your coach adjusts your plan as you grow.
Time commitment: Plan on 5 to 10 hours a week, including your sessions. You can split it into short daily blocks.
“By meeting with the same coach weekly, they are able to really learn your weaknesses and strength over time. It really does help to keep you accountable with the coursework.”
Kim F.12-month coached programThese students struggled to use their Spanish. Now they connect deeply with the Spanish speakers in their lives. Many of them chose to tell their stories on video, in Spanish.
“When I was with my father’s family, I felt like a stranger, like an outsider. I couldn’t communicate with my family.”
“I had the first real conversation with my in-laws from Mexico in 16 years.”
“My husband is from Venezuela, and it’s very important to me that when we have kids they understand Spanish.”
“I work as a nurse in the emergency room. I understand a lot more now. I can communicate a lot better, to the point where I have to tell people I’m still learning. Even my coworkers tell me they have seen a huge improvement.”
“Now I can answer the phone and speak only in Spanish. I can do interviews only in Spanish too. Now I can connect better with the employees.”
“This week I gave a speech in Spanish to all 80 of my employees. I was delivering bad news, but they clapped, because instead of needing a translator I was able to convey my meaning entirely in Spanish.”
“I live in New Mexico, where about half the people speak Spanish at home, and I was shut out of their lives and their culture. In the last 3 years, I’ve been to Mexico twice and Colombia once. Every time, my Spanish let me have long, wide-ranging conversations with local people.”
“Two weeks ago, I went to a wedding in the Dominican Republic. I made a point to speak with the bride’s mother, who does not speak much English at all. We talked for nearly 30 minutes, all in Spanish.”
“I’m almost 60 years old, and many of my friends say it’s too late to learn a language. That’s not true.”
“Without my tutor’s help, coaching and encouragement, I wouldn’t be speaking Spanish at all, because I would have stopped months and months ago without the weekly support of a guide.”
Some of the students on this page received a free month of coaching (or a discount) in exchange for sharing their honest thoughts about the program. Many of them told their stories in Spanish, so their quotes have been translated into English.
“It is a very rigorous program and not for the weak. There will be times you want to give up because it's so hard, but if you stick with it, it's so worth it. I wish I had found this program so much sooner.”
“It's worth it. Yes, it's expensive, but it's worth it. The program is rigorous and takes time, but the lessons are fun and the coaching sessions are a joy.”
Deborah E.6-month coached programTranslated from SpanishYou wouldn't sign a lease on an apartment you'd never stepped inside. You can't know what working with one of our coaches feels like until you've done it.
So start, meet your coach, and do the work. If it isn't right for you within your first 30 days, for any reason, tell us and we'll refund your payment.
Coaching is a monthly membership. You’ll see the price for weekly and twice-weekly coaching at checkout, before you pay anything. (Many employers reimburse language training, and we’re happy to provide any documentation your employer needs.)
Plan on 5 to 10 hours a week, including your sessions. If you’ve already spent a few hundred hours on Spanish over the past few years, that kind of dedication is a great sign you’ll thrive here. Our program makes sure those hours go toward the parts of Spanish that matter most.
Some of our students start with no Spanish at all. Others are already advanced when they join. Either way, we’ll start by evaluating your foundational fluency and build your plan from there. We’ve had students who were already running business meetings in Spanish when they joined. They still made enormous transformations by starting with the foundations of Spanish.
We’ll match you with one of our coaches, all native Spanish speakers with elite training in language pedagogy and years of experience with our method. We match you with a coach in a time zone that works for you, and you’ll work with the same coach every week. If the fit isn’t right, you can request a switch.
We understand that life gets in the way sometimes, and we’ll help you plan around it. Your coach will hold you accountable to steady weekly progress, and they’ll be patient with you too, because you have a life outside of Spanish. As one student put it after a year of weekly sessions, “Even when I have felt behind in my lessons or unprepared for the hour, the support and review has been invaluable.” (Brad W.)
The podcast shares our curriculum. The coaching program is a rigorous system for making progress every week. It includes your coach, a personalized plan, homework assignments with corrections, our quizzing app, and a full set of tools focused on the biggest areas you need help with.
Yes. You can cancel at any time, for any reason. It’s on us to make you so impressed with your progress in Spanish that you’ll want to stay.
Most of our coaches come from Latin America. If you’d like to work on Spanish from Spain, just ask, and we’ll match you with our coach from Spain.
You've already put in the work. With a world-class coach and a proven method, you can get to the level where you truly connect with the people who matter most to you, in Spanish.
“You could for free learn Spanish indefinitely and not make much progress, or you could commit to the outcome that you desire, which is not, I think, ‘learning’ Spanish. It's actually being able to SPEAK Spanish.”
