Definitely not. Adults learn new languages successfully all the time. In fact, evidence shows that adults have real advantages children don't: you've already learned your 1st language, which actually makes it easier to learn a 2nd. When I joined the company in 2015, I had only worked with traditional approaches in language learning, and with that mindset, I knew that even basic fluency would take at least 2–3 years for a student to acquire a basic conversational level.
