Here's what my students say about my coaching.

Nervous about a real conversation in Spanish? Let's fix that right now.

You've studied. You've practiced. You know hundreds of Spanish words. But when a real Spanish speaker turns to you and starts talking, your mind goes blank and you can't put those words together to say what you mean. It's not that you're bad at languages. It's that you've never had an elite language coach to spot your weaknesses, guide your practice, and help you express yourself in the language, one evidence-based step at a time.

“I'm afraid to speak; I freeze the second I start.”

This happens to almost everyone, and it's not because you don't know enough Spanish words. Freezing happens when you haven't practiced speaking out loud, specifically with a gentle instructor who's on your team. If you coach with me, I'll always meet you right where you are, so speaking will start to feel normal instead of terrifying.

“I know a lot of words but I can't put them together.”

This is one of the most common things we hear, and it's exactly what we specialize in. If you've been working hard on Spanish, you probably have plenty of vocabulary already. What you're missing is the structure that connects those words into sentences. That's what I'll work on with you, one piece at a time, until your thoughts start to flow.

“When Spanish speakers talk fast, I can't understand a thing.”

Real Spanish at full speed sounds nothing like the slow, clear audio most learners use. That's why real conversation catches almost every learner off guard. The good news is that understanding fast speech is a skill you can train (it's not a talent you're born with). I'll speak with you every week, right at your level, but pushing your comfort zone out a little at a time. This will help tune your ear to how people actually talk.

“I've been studying for years and I still can't hold a conversation.”

We hear this constantly. We've worked with people who've been working on Spanish for 5, 10, 20, even 40 years. When you feel stuck, it's usually not because you're not trying; it's because you don't know exactly where to direct your efforts for best results. That's where expert coaching makes all the difference.

“Am I too old to learn a new language?”

Definitely not. Adults learn new languages successfully all the time. In fact, evidence shows that adults have real advantages children don't: you've already learned your 1st language, which actually makes it easier to learn a 2nd. Your brain can learn a new language at any age, and coaching will give you the structure and guided practice to actually get there.

“I understand way more than I can actually say.”

This is one of the clearest signs you're ready for coaching. Understanding comes from listening, reading, and learning lots of words. But speaking only happens when you practice producing Spanish yourself, out loud, over and over, in a variety of ways. Coaching puts you in that seat every week, so your speaking finally catches up to how much you already understand.

“I practice all the time but I have no idea if I'm doing it right.”

Practicing without feedback is one of the biggest reasons hard work doesn't pay off. You might not know what to work on, and worst of all, you might end up practicing mistakes until they become bad habits. As a coach, I'll help catch what you can't hear yourself, and then I'll help you drill the right way to express yourself eloquently in Spanish, in a way your loved ones will understand and resonate with.

“Is coaching really worth it when there's so much free stuff out there?”

There are a lot of free Spanish resources out there, and most of it can help you build your vocabulary just fine. That's the easy part. The hard part is drilling your speaking skills and tuning your comprehension, in real time, at your own level. As a coach, I'll help you build a plan around your Spanish goals and your life. That personal guidance is what finally turns all your effort into real conversation.

I teach the LearnCraft method because it is unique and it truly works.

When I joined the company in 2015, I had only worked with traditional approaches in language learning, and with that mindset, I knew that even basic fluency would take at least 2–3 years for a student to acquire a basic conversational level. I got my first student, Kyle, and I was amazed at how fast this level was acquired and how accurate the structures and productions he made were. He went from not knowing more than 5–10 words in Spanish to working with native Spanish speakers and giving business presentations in 9 months. He was not just trained to have elevator or weather talk; he was able to communicate and interact deeply, understand the other speaker, and respond accordingly. That was true proficiency.

Frequency-based curriculum

Think in Spanish from day one.

We'll start by polishing the 100 most common words in Spanish, the handful that make up roughly half of everything people actually say. Because you're learning the words that turn up in every real conversation, you can start forming and expressing your own thoughts right away instead of waiting years to feel ready. From day one you're building the core of the language that lets you think in Spanish, not memorizing vocabulary you'll almost never use.

Focus on deep grammar

Express yourself clearly, so you can make real connections.

Most programs hand you a pile of vocabulary, but knowing words doesn't help much if you can't connect them into sentences. Grammar is the structure that holds those words together. I'll personally help you work through it, correcting your Spanish as you go so mistakes don't harden into habits. That's how you get from knowing a lot of words to actually saying what you mean, clearly and correctly.

Evidence-based learning

You won't waste time on tactics that don't work.

Everything we do is designed on how an adult brain actually learns a second language, drawing on research in retrieval practice, interleaving, and building mental models that turn into your own Spanish voice. Instead of passively watching videos or swiping through an app, you're constantly pulling Spanish back out of your memory, and that effortful recall is what rewires your brain and makes the language second-nature. So none of your time goes to tactics that feel productive but never stick.

A plan built for you, and everything you need to follow it.

This isn't a course you work through alone. From your first week, Gaby builds a personalized plan around your goal, your level, and the conversations you actually want to have. Then keeps you on track, corrects your work, and adjusts the plan as you grow.

It helps in many different ways — from really understanding the nuances behind the language, to the ability to speak confidently, as well as comprehend when others are speaking. The coaches are great as well and really want you to get better.”

A little about me

I am a native Spanish speaker born and raised in Cordoba, Argentina. I've studied languages all my life, and when I went to university I decided to study English as a second language in the tracks for teaching, translation, and literature. The track I chose uses a contrastive approach, so it pairs Spanish grammar and linguistics with the English ones. That's when I realized how much I enjoyed teaching Spanish, so I joined the university's Spanish department as an Assistant Professor, teaching Spanish grammar to native speakers. I also worked with international students whose mother tongue was English or Portuguese, helping them learn my beautiful language. I've participated in projects preparing external students for the California Board of Education, and helped those students pass their tests with flying colors.

Then I saw a job post from LearnCraft Spanish ("Accelerated Spanish" at the time). They were looking for Spanish coaches with knowledge of legal Spanish. I'd studied 4 out of 5 years of law school as well, so I decided to apply. I've been with the company ever since, and it's been a marvelous experience.

Teaching Spanish is very rewarding, but two moments stand out. In the conversation portion, when a student makes a comment or uses an idiom and it sounds so natural and well chosen — not just a formulaic, expected answer — it makes me proud of them, and of the program, and honestly of myself for bridging the student's efforts with the culture and not just with dry grammar rules. The second is watching their progress and witnessing first-hand their happiness when they interact with native Spanish speakers and realize how much they can do, understand, and say in only a few months — not to mention how glad they are to hear from people they haven't seen in a while, or have just met, how strong and competent they are in the second language.

I love seeing the fast progress students make, but most importantly I'm truly committed to the type of students we coach. We work with people who are committed to putting the time and energy into learning Spanish, and our commitment to them is to make their dream of deep, meaningful interactions in Spanish with the Spanish speakers in their lives a reality.

For example, Ryan is a doctor in the US. He decided to learn Spanish as a hobby, but with the intention of serving his patients better. After some time, Spanish-speaking doctors at the hospital discovered he spoke Spanish and started addressing him in it, his patients trusted him, and he used what he'd learned to serve them better. He took a fishing trip to Patagonia and became the spokesperson of the traveling party, solving issues and having deep conversations with locals. On that trip he bought a mate set, and to this day he drinks mate every day — because he didn't just learn a language, he learned the culture of a country and embraced a South American tradition that remains an icon of several countries (Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Brazil).

For me, this work matters because I get to be part of bringing our Latin culture to other places, and part of their path toward making meaningful bonds with Spanish speakers.

“The unique part about LearnCraft Spanish is the fact that they teach you very difficult concepts that you need to know right from the start to be able to actually converse in Spanish. Many programs just teach words you can memorize that really doesn't help much. This program teaches concepts and real-world situations that enable you to move toward actually speaking and understanding native Spanish.”

If you work with your coach for 30 days and it isn't right for you, for any reason at all, we'll refund every dollar. No forms, no hassle. The only risk is staying where you are.

Questions students ask before starting

We recommend setting aside at least 1 hour per day. I'll help you fit a realistic, result-focused routine into your life.

You can start as a complete beginner. We build from the essential, highest-frequency Spanish that makes up most of real conversation, and I meet you exactly where you are. This works just as well if you've studied for years and still feel stuck.

Every week we sit down one-on-one and you actually speak Spanish with me, out loud. If you're a beginner, we'll start with sentence drills to build your Spanish voice. If you're advanced, we'll spend more time in conversation. Either way, I'll give you feedback in the moment on what's working and what needs more practice, review the work you've done, and give you a plan for what to focus on next.

That's most of the people I work with, and it usually isn't your fault. What you were missing was someone helping you find the right things to practice and correcting you as you go, instead of leaving you to practice alone and hope you're doing it right. That's the whole point of coaching.

In a class you're one of many, moving at a pace set for the group, and no one is tracking what you specifically need. With me, the plan is built around your goal, I know exactly where you are and what to push you on next, and every week you get real spoken practice with feedback you can't get from a screen.

Picture the moment a Spanish-speaking patient, relative, or colleague realizes they can speak with you directly in Spanish — and you can understand them, respond, and serve them better. I'd love to help you build the language and cultural understanding that make that kind of connection possible.

You'll get a personalized plan, weekly 1-on-1 coaching, and a coach who's genuinely in this with you.
